Finishing Year 12?

It's coming to that time of year again when the next group of young Australians find themselves making giant decisions about their future and carve out their chosen pathways. This can be a hugely confusing and confronting time when you might not be 100% certain of what you want to do, job wise; you might be thinking of pursuing a gap year, a university degree, navigating a path into full time work or maybe a traineeship and VET qualification.

With COVID-19 placing a [HUGE] dampener on everyone's travel plans, there's a pretty good chance that your gap year travel plans will be limited to the living room couch...and that leaves study or a job as the next best options! In any case, it absolutely should not feel like less of a productive year for you and if you think you would be interested in pursuing a traineeship and a VET qualification - as an alternative to diving into a degree that you may not be sure of, we would be more than happy to guide you in the right direction.

We understand that motivation is a bit of a hurdle given the current climate, however we are encouraging our students and future students to view this time as an opportunity to take a giant exhale from your giant final year and do a bit of study and soul searching to find out what really makes you tick. Making decisions about your career whilst part way through year 11 or 12 can also be a really challenging thing, especially as you are lacking industry [and life!] experience, so read on below for some reasons as to why we believe a traineeship can be an excellent choice for individuals who might wish to experience the workplace and the study associated with it.

Anyone searching to dip their toes into industry waters whilst gaining a qualification, come and speak to us!

Why a traineeship?

  • You can earn $$ whilst studying!

Although it wont be a crazy 6 figure salary, you will be given the unique opportunity to get paid whilst completing your studies within your industry of interest, gaining valuable experience and working towards your qualification.

  • Perfect blend of the practical and the formal!

The work you will be undertaking will link really well with your studies and give you a great practical head start to be able to link in with your formal training and workbooks, real world experience to relate back to your formal training and qualification - win win!

  • Future Employee Appeal!

Not only will you complete your traineeship with a qualification, but you will have spent the time working within your industry of interest and have a great head start on other candidates + your qualification!

  • You will be qualified!

So you get paid, you get practical workplace experience, you gain a competitive edge and you will work towards the completion of your nationally recognised VET qualification, sold?

JUST WANT TO STUDY? You may be eligible for the Certificate III Guarantee Program!
