Short courses to build your construction skills

If you’re short on time and looking to expand your skills - enrol in a unit course! We deliver training over one to two days with face to face, workplace assisted and remote delivery support strategies available. Ballistic are proud to offer the following short courses for those interested in the construction industry:

RIIWHS204D Work Safely at Heights This course is aimed at providing candidates with the necessary skills and knowledge to undertake work at heights safely and competently, covering selection, inspection and safe use of equipment; risk management; and requirements of relevant Australian Standards, company procedures and legislation - Utilisation of harness and working at height activities will be required as part of the assessment activities in this unit.

MSMWHS217 Gas Test Atmospheres This unit of competency covers the skills and knowledge required to test the working atmosphere, using electronic test apparatus, to find out if it is safe for the proposed work. It requires the person to interpret readings and take actions based on the interpretation. The working environment may be hazardous, unpredictable, subject to time pressure, chaotic and expose responders to risk, on land or water, by day or night. Workplace atmospheres may include visible and invisible hazards and hazardous surfaces

MSMPER205 Enter Confined Space This unit of competency is required by persons who are required to enter a confined space, as defined by the Australian Standard AS 2865-2009 Confined spaces, or its authorised update or replacement. It covers the skills and knowledge required for safe entry to confined spaces under a work permit and for maintaining safety while working in the confined space.
