CSQ Higher Level Skills General Construction Programs

Ballistic Training Solutions is pleased to advise that it has a number of places available for Construction Industry personnel wanting to update their skills or obtain a Qualification in Business or Work Health & Safety through the Construction Skills Queensland Higher Level Skills Program.

Location/s
Ballistic Training Solutions can provide eligible Higher Level Skills General Construction Program candidates in the Sunshine Coast, Darling Downs - Toowoomba & Gold Coast Regions with access to CSQ Higher Level Skills Programs.

 

Higher Level Skills Qualifications
The following programs are funded for eligible construction industry personnel in the above regions:

BSB50120 Diploma of Business

​

BSB41419 Cert IV in Work Health Safety

​

BSB51319 Diploma of Work Heath Safety

 

Price
Courses are funded under the Construction Skills Queensland Higher Level Skills General Construction Program funding. Eligible students’ fees are covered for completion of the qualification as long as the student successfully completes each funded unit of competency throughout the agreed training plan period.

 

Duration

Course duration is indicative of the individual student’s progression and competence assessment requirements as detailed in their individual training plan. Indicative timeframe is up to 12 months in duration. Successful completion must be achieved during the eligible CSQ funding period (1st October 2020 and 30th September 2022)

Delivery Method
Mode of delivery is individually tailored to your worksite/individual requirements. Self-paced workbooks, Trainer support and workplace task activities form the basis for the industry tailored training and assessment strategy.

 

Eligibility

For the purposes of eligibility, participants under this program must meet the following criteria:

 

Eligible participant means:

 

(a)     An eligible worker’ Employed in Queensland within the Building and Construction Industry. (Including relevant clerical, administration & professional staff whose employer is part of the building and construction industry)

(b)     An active apprentice or trainee undertaking an apprenticeship or traineeship as per the CSQ approved listing having completed 50% or more of the registered training plan

(c)      An unemployed Eligible worker

(d)     An eligible worker or unemployed eligible worker in the first year out of their CSQ approved apprenticeship or traineeship. (Must commence training within 365 days of the completion date).

(e)     A cancelled apprentice or trainee who was undertaking a CSQ approved apprenticeship or traineeship that has been cancelled having completed 50% or more of the training plan and is currently accessing State Government funding to complete their institution based training

(f)      An Australian or New Zealand citizen; or A permanent resident of Australia; or A Visa holder with relevant permission to work

 

AND must not be:

(g)     An Employee of an Authority

(h)     Currently enrolled and participating in a school program

(i)       Contracted as a trainer and assessor or an existing worker of an RTO

(j)       Funded by an Authority or other such source for delivery of the same training being undertaken as part of this program

(k)      Participant seeking a verification of competence

(l)       Participant previously funded under this program in the same contract term

An eligible Worker has the same meaning as the Building and Construction Industry (Portable Long Service Leave) Act 1991 (Qld) as amended from time to time.

​

An Unemployed Eligible Worker is a person who has been unemployed for a period of not greater than 4 years that would otherwise meet the requirements of an Eligible Worker.

​

Funding is limited to the maximum funding amount. A Participant is only eligible for a maximum of one (1) Qualification throughout the Contract Term. Funding is not available for any units of Competency or Qualifications previously completed by a Participant. may be available. Prerequisite for Diploma of Work Health and Safety must hold Core units from Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or industry equivalency per packaging rules. *Some conditions may apply.
