Certificate III in Work Health and Safety

The BSB30715 Certificate III in Work Health and Safety is suitable for skilled operators who take on Work Health and Safety responsibilities in addition to their main duties. They may provide technical advice and support to a team and apply a range of competencies in varied work contexts.

Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety

The BSB41419 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety qualification is suitable for people working in a Work Health and Safety role who work to provide leadership and guidance to others and have some limited responsibility for the output of others.

The qualification reflects the role of workers who apply a broad knowledge base and well-developed skills in a wide variety of contexts and may include coordinators, advisors and facilitators.

Some Occupational Pathways: Health & Safety Advisors, Work Safety Officers, Site Safety Contacts, Safety Supervisors.

QLD Worksafe Approved Health & Safety Representative Training Courses

(5 day initial course, 1 day annual refresher)

This course will provide you with the knowledge & skills required to fulfill the role of a Health and Safety Representative (HSR) in Queensland, as set down in Section 72 of the Work Health and Safety (WHS) Act 2011. A HSR must possess an understanding of the WHS legislation and how it relates to your workplace to fulfill your responsibilities to co-workers and workers for whom you represent. Through this course you will learn about the legislative requirements and how these link to maintaining a safe workplace. We will work through the legislative requirements, your obligations as a HSR and the importance of consultation in the workplace
