A different way to study...

If you have been contemplating study but have never been quite certain whether it was for you, vocational education may be your perfect solution and we can guide you through it.

Vocational education training courses and qualifications have been developed to prepare students with specific skills required in the workplace, in the ‘real world’. These courses are designed to upskill current employees within their industry, join the workforce for the first time within an industry of choice or move into a new career or industry that requires theoretical and possibly practical training.

There are many benefits to undertaking a VET qualification, one of the main ones being the heavy practical focus of their content, a lot of what you study and are required to undertake involves evidence based projects and questions that link directly to what you are currently doing within your industry or that have a direct relevance to tasks and skills that will be required for your future industry! Useful right?

If you have made the first step of deciding to undertake a course, congratulations, now your next question might be around cost? The great news about undertaking Vocational education and training is that there is plenty of government funding available to those eligible, making your education affordable and readily accessible to you.

The Certificate 3 Guarantee supports the Queensland Government’s ‘Working Queensland Jobs’ plan and provides a government subsidy to support eligible individuals to complete their very first post-school Certificate III qualification. This program also links in to support Year 12 graduates’ transition into employment through fee free training in qualifications that are considered high priority.

We at Ballistic Training Solutions are very proud to be an approved QLD Government provider under the Certificate III Guarantee program for the following courses:

Program eligibility is open to individuals who are:

  • Queensland residents, 15 years and over

  • No longer at school (there is an exception of VET in Schools students)

  • Australian or New Zealand citizens or Australian permanent residents (including humanitarian entrants), or a temporary resident with the necessary visa and on the pathway to permanent residency

  • Not holding and not enrolled in a Certificate III or higher qualification (not including qualifications completed at school and foundation skills training)
